As a teacher, I am always looking for ideas on what to gift my students.  There are always occasions I am needing a gift: whether that be for a holiday, an occasion such as a birthday or graduation, or for an accomplishment of theirs. I also have parents, grandparents or friends and family who want to give a gift to a piano student for any number of reasons. This is my go-to list if I want to find the right gift for the right occasion!

1.  Give the Gift of Endless Learning

The most phenomenal gift you could give a piano student is to give them all you can to help them succeed at piano!  Forgive me for my passion here, but I just get so excited when I think about what an amazing gift this would be.  Pianoforall is an online piano course for a one time, phenomenal price that will benefit them for life as it has free updates for life.  It has over 200 videos and lessons, but what piano students will also love is the 9 e-books that let them explore other music styles.  They can choose what they want to learn and go for it!

I highly recommend you checking out Pianoforall.   It has been used over and over (with over a quarter million students) by piano students since 2006 and it is the best course you can take online for its incredible value.  The testimonials speak for itself — just go read a few of them, their are tons of amazing reviews as piano students go from knowing nothing, to playing within days.  60 days, money back guarantee, and even then, it has a return rate below 4%.  It is extremely affordable with only a one time payment and free updates for life.  You won’t find another program out there with that kind of value and that kind of positive feedback.

2. “You are Ah-Mason!” Jars

3. Chill Pills

Awesome for a piano student getting ready for a recital!  Wouldn’t it be fun and give the piano student a big smile on his/her face if they got something before getting up in front of the crowd?!  It could be just the thing they need to calm their nerves and get them to relax a little before the big debut.

4. Everything in a Jar

What’s better than everything you need all packaged up in a jar?  This has got to be one of the cleverest DIY gift ideas that any piano student would love.  After all that hard work, who wouldn’t need a little pampering, or a little bit of energy to keep up the hard work, or by golly, just a bit of refreshment after all their blood, sweat, and tears?!

5.  Tissue Box of Money by the Piano

Give this to your student, saying to leave it by the piano.  One day, they are surely going to need it!  Remind them to think of you whenever they see it.  Boy will they be surprised when they pull out a tissue one day to find what other treasures are in there!

6. Treble Clef Pendant

Simple, but elegant, this is a beautiful yet affordable necklace that they can enjoy for any occasion or to dress up their outfit for their big performance!

7. Music Mug

This is one of the most ideal music mugs I have seen out there.  Not only is it beautiful, it is insulated the whole time while at the piano, and it’s CLOSED so it won’t be a worry about spilling all over the piano instrument – spilling would be a mistake that could cause irreparable damage!  Stay safe with this one.

I have a love/hate relationship with these things.  I love what they do for my music and for my performance, but man they can drive me crazy!  Regardless, a metronome is a must-have for all pianists, whether beginner or advanced!  This metronome is small enough to travel with you, but with all the bells and whistles you need.  It is also a great price.
