You will encounter a song in this method called Chopsticks that you are likely familiar with! If you look at the music, it can be a little overwhelming. That’s because this song is not meant to be learned by reading music, but by rote. What this means is that you should make sure and follow the YouTube video tutorial that is found on the music. You can follow the hands in the video to know what to play when.

Remember, a tie means to play and hold it together – without lifting up between the notes. In this example, this would mean to hold it for 2 counts since the quarter notes (worth 1) are tied together.
