In your wanderings of Piano Marvel, you may have noticed something called a boot camp. What’s a boot camp? Technically speaking, it is “a military training camp for new recruits, with strict discipline.” In Piano Marvel, you can have your very own PIANO boot camp!
The point of the boot camp is to get you exposed to new, and harder music. Much like the SASR, it takes you and forces you to move through the songs and pushes you to your limits. It is really helpful for sight reading, and for helping you be a better pianist!
There is a whole section of boot camps in Piano Marvel. You can go to the sidebar when you get to the library and click on boot camps, and it will filter all of them for you.
Now you can see all of the boot camps you can try out. Go ahead and take a look through them. You have everything from a hymns boot camp, to classical, to popular songs, and more. Choose a boot camp that interests you in a level you would feel good about. Click on it, then find the blue box at the top, labeled “Also Available as a Boot Camp”.
Then, if you get the option to choose a level, choose the one you want (it doesn’t really matter which one you choose!). Then begin!
The average new student will get a %5-%10 on their first boot camp. So whatever your score …. THAT’S GREAT! Just have fun trying something new and hard!
You can see how far you are in the boot camp with the percentage in the left corner. You can also decide to stop the boot camp at any time and resume it later if you decide. I would suggest to try and just get it all done — it won’t take too long!
At any time, you can try out a boot camp. It is helpful for learning new songs quickly and really causing you to grow!
